Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, I am not paneled with any insurance companies. Check if your insurance company reimburses for out-of-network providers; if so, I am glad to provide a superbill that you can send to your insurance company.

  • Our first visit will be 60 minutes, and all follow-up visits will be 50 minutes each. How often we meet depends on your goals, your preferences, and how much support you need. We will collaborate to decide how often to meet and whether/when to change our pace. Some clients meet weekly, while others prefer to meet every 2 to 4 weeks.

  • My favorite clinical concerns are out-of-control sexual behavior (including how this affects the partner/spouse), difficulty with orgasm/arousal, sexual shame, and sexual identity development. I also have significant experience working with perfectionism, anxiety, and body image concerns.

If either of us isn’t sure if we are a good fit, I will gladly provide you referrals for other therapists.

  • Yes! I am also registered with an interstate compact that allows me to do virtual visits with clients living in the states marked in dark blue on this map.

  • When we first meet, we will set specific goals together for what you want help with. From there, I typically default to a conversational style with a mix of sharing updates, helping you process emotions, teaching skills, and giving you ideas of how to implement these tools outside of therapy. We will frequently check in on how you feel about our work together, so that we can make any needed adjustments.

  • I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Utah. If you are concerned about the credentials of any mental health provider, I encourage you to check for active licensure using your state licensing board’s website. Here is the link for Utah’s DOPL: https://secure.utah.gov/llv/search/index.html
